Yellow signs: San Marco, Rialto, Ferrovia, Piazzale Roma. Those four words carry you. Steps are real. Bridges are many. Rio Novo cuts Santa Croce and shortens the first twenty minutes if you accept it.

Steps	Most bridges have them. Bags roll badly. Boats skip some of this.
Signs	Ferrovia and Piazzale Roma point back to the cars. The other two point in.
Water	Acqua alta covers low stone. Duckboards come out when the Comune puts them out.
